I continued work on the aft cabin, which entailed a lot of tedious sanding. Carol came up for a short visit, and I had to handle some of the pre hernia surgery tests and consults this week. My July 4th celebration was low key, but pleasant enough. The real celebration was July 1: the one year anniversary of my retirement. It's hard to believe it's been a year. I'm happy to say that while I've had to live somewhat frugally, I've been able to stay above water financially, which is great.
Oh my kind of work, just siting and sanding and whistling and watching the pelicans go by. Monkey work indeed.
