Thanks to the holiday, it was a minimal work week. Unfortunately, even the little I was able to do was an uphill slog. The boat parade and fireworks watched from the best locations in the harbor on Mike and Bob's big boats brightened things up, tho. Spent a nice low key Christmas with Carol. She got a bike like mine and went for her first bike ride in xx years. Much to her surprise, she made it unscathed!

It was a productive week despite the holiday hubbub. Made good progress on the overhead and got
some more paint on the side boards for the range hood. My new Downtube folding bike arrived and I
had some fun getting it together and taking it for a little spin. Over the weekend I took Carol to an opening
at the Carnegie Art Museum , we had some nice meals and
enjoyed a movie onboard.
Flowers are scarce now, but there is an abundance of
spectacular skies.

Continued work on the range hood side pieces and the
overhead in the main cabin, and took care of a couple of maintenance items. The cold weather has brought the
hazards of heaters to the fore. I took a nearby boat
fire and a fire started by a homeless man in the riverbed this week as a wake-up call to
get some smoke detectors installed on Circadian. An easy and relatively inexpensive task as
well as cheap insurance. I also
exercised the engine and the seacocks and topped off the batteries.

Don't know whether it's the hectic holiday season or what, but the week just flew! After I got back from eating my way around San Francisco Bay for the Thanksgiving weekend, it was back to work! I continued working on the preparations for putting in a new overhead in the main cabin and decided to rebed one of the original fixed ports in the aft cabin that had a small seep. Rain is coming.
Tomorrow it's down to L.A. for another party. Will the fun never stop?
