I continued working on the trim for the head.  Unfortunately, I ran out of Epifanes RapidCoat sooner than I expected, and the big blizzard on the east coast delayed shipment of more.  As a consequence, the planned work sequence got shifted a bit.  Not a big deal.  It just meant starting sooner on refurbishing the base of “the throne.”

I spent the weekend in L.A. with Carol.  Pretty much focused on eating:  a new nearby Mexican restaurant, dim sum in Chinatown, and a great homecooked Indian dinner.  I had to resort to running on the beach to compensate when I got back!

Got a nice break this weekend:  Carol and I hiked around the (dare I say?) budding Ventura Botanical Park on Saturday and drove up to Santa Ynez Valley for some touring and wine tasting on Sunday.  But it was back to the (dare I say?) grind on Monday.  But I finished up the cabin-top hatches this week and expect they will no longer leak.  They will likely be tested early next week when rain is in the forecast.  They certainly look better, anyway.  I also continued working on the trim in the head.  It’s coming along fine, but there’s still more to do…as always!
