It's amazing how much time it takes put things away, get things cleaned up and make sure everything is working before taking off!  Sometimes it feels like you're just spinning your wheels.  But I did manage to make some progress and even got in a nice sail.  Still some things to do, but I should be able to cast off by Sunday or Monday for a short shakedown.

In Shinto and Aikido, the Japanese word "misogi" refers to a ritual cleansing.  That's what this week was.  And it ain't over yet!  I plan to do a little shakedown on or about August 1 so that Carol and I can go on a bit of a cruise about August 8.   Hope I'm ready!  We'll see.....

Rather than working on one big project this week, I took care of some smaller items, several of which have been nagging at me for an embarrassingly long time.  Most of them are aimed at preparing the boat to go cruising for a few weeks with the hope of minimizing hassles and ad hoc fixes.  Next week will be focused on cleaning: canvas, deck, cabin, interior, etc., etc., etc.   That is, unless I discover something untoward.
Oh, one other thing....I made sure there were plenty of flower pics this week.  Wouldn't want another mutiny....
