Cool Week for the Birds

Much of the week was spent in phone hell.  Can't seem to activate it and still have my old US service plan.  Supposedly it will be unlocked by Monday and I should then be able to activate it on iTunes.  If I can't, I might have to make a trip back to the US to get it done.
It's been slowly getting hotter, so on one of my many futile trips to AT&T, I went to the nearby Walmart and bought an air conditioner to get me through the hot and rainy summer.  So, the only project work has been working on the removable installation.  I did make some time to get some nice beach sunset and bird photos, though.

It works.  Cooler and much less humid.

Batteries, Birds, Bikes and Lizards!

I'm still busy!!! My old mobil phone suddenly became terminal this week by refusing to recharge, so I had to quickly get a new one and hope the old phone wouldn't die totally before I could get a few essential things off it that weren't backed up. I did it, but it was stressful and dicey. Before the technology crisis, I managed a few more expeditions around the area and got some good nature photos. Saw my first wild parrot and the biggest flower I've ever seen.
Because the eastern Pacific hurricane season started this week, and the rainy season's thunderstorms are coming soon, I started preparing. My first project was making a lightning rod and ground system.  If lightning threatens, I just need to lower the ground plate into the water.  Also had a diver clean the bottom and change the zinc, which was gone already.
And, after some six months, I'm starting the see the good life take its toll, so I'm working on eating and drinking less, and exercising more. We'll see how I do....
