Leaving Paradise

This week I finally left Paradise Village in Nuevo Vallarta and headed south once again toward Barra de Navidad.  So far (as of Thursday, January 11) I've made it to Bahia Tenacatita, which is only 12 miles north of Barra.  Some long tiring passages, but no significant issues and no heavy weather.  Nice trip all-in-all.

Farewell dinner with Denny and Janet

Denny helped cast off Circadian and took this
shot as I left the dock in Paradise Village.

Shallow and tight harbor, but not bad at high tide.

Heading upwind toward Punta de Mita

Sailing off into the sunrise to get around Cabo Corrientes

Cabo Corrientes is the Pt. Conception of Mexico.
The seas are stirred up even on a light wind day;
it's really horrific in a blow.

A dolphin escort made the long slog a lot more fun!

Finally made it into Ipala for a quick overnight
rest stop.

Getting an early start the next day

Heading out at dawn for another long run to Chamela.
