Between the rain and having to take care of Carol after she had some minor surgery (paybacks are hell!), accomplishments were limited this week.  Nonetheless, after about a dozen coats of varnish, I finally finished and mounted the backing plate covers for the port side and the bottom edge trim.  I was happy to be able to get started on the remaining overhead trim that couldn't be fit until the backing plate covers were in place.  Also took care of a few minor tasks not worth mentioning while coats of varnish dried.

  1. Trim is very good. I'm more partial to sunflowers in the picture than a boat in a boat.

    BUT

you might consider turning that chainplate cover into a phone. Mount a receiver cradle on the side, and a keypad in the base, and a slot for the coins. You could also program it to ring every hour like a clock - GMT time of course.
