I finished up a couple of last week's projects and made good progress on a major engine service that includes both 250 hour and 750 hour items.  All of the old stuff has been removed or cleaned as needed, and some has been replaced.  The rest will be done by early next week.  Here's the list:
  • Change the oil and oil filter
  • Change the air cleaner
  • Change the primary and secondary fuel filters, bleed the system
  • Change the raw water impeller
  • Change the fresh water coolant
  • Change the zinc in the raw water circuit
  • Remove, inspect and acid wash the heat exchanger
  • Inspect hoses and belt
  • Wire brush and paint the engine as needed
I still need to put everything back together, replace the coolant and bleed it as needed and touch-up the engine paint.  Then it's wash, clean, provision and I'm outta here!

  1. Impellers should be changed annually. Same with zincs

Love the acid bath and the flowers.

    Salar 40 is NICE!

    Cruising? Really? I can't wait!
