This week was all about tackling "the list" from the cruise shakedown:
- Simply tying a line around
the Hydrovane shaft from the dinghy seems to have cured the problem of the
dinghy sliding around on the davits.
- The halyard/line mess on the
mast has been cleaned up and questionable lines replaced.
- The aft lazarette was emptied
out and reorganized
- The flopper stopper has been rigged with dedicated lines and snapshackles to make set-up easier
- The anchor snubber bridal has been covered with hose to protect it from chafe on the anchor chain.
- All the tank vents have been inspected and cleaned.
I
even did a couple of little extra things.
The only thing on the list not done was getting a winch handle holder
mounted and that was because the supplier was out of stock. I’ll get something locally next week.
It
was a nice change to work on improving the boat’s functionality as a sailboat.
Makes me want to do more!
Laundry day.
ReplyDeleteThe line washing was very dramatic!
