Starting the The New Year in La Paz

This was Carol's last week here, and she was still fighting a bad cold.  The weather still didn't provide the right break to go anywhere either, so it was kind of a frustrating week for both of us.  The only calm days seemed to be the ones that we had special holiday dinners planned.  But special they were!  We had a great time New Year's Eve with Tod and Donna at the Sorstis restaurant:  incredible food, great wine, good friends and a wonderful spirit among all at the restaurant.  We finally got desperate enough before dinner to just take a taxi to Balandra beach even though we had little time to enjoy it.  Carol actually wanted to walk the beach and wade in the water!  After she bid her farewell the next day, I was left with boat projects and her cold for the rest of the week.   But things are going alright and my friend and shipmate Jim is scheduled to join me on the twelfth.  Then we'll head off again as whim and weather allow....assuming all the boat issues have been handled!

  1. Beautiful shots of the water with a draw to the becalmed one which was art.

Whale Bones - Q: What are they for? A: They aren't for anything silly stingray George. Dead whale's have no "for" for.
